Cafe Jiwa: To Go Capital Campaign
Jiwa International is raising $30,000 USD to purchase and equip a small food truck that will allow us to expand our mobile markets and rural outreach. We'll also be using some of these funds to install air conditioning on the upper floors of the Cafe in order to host larger community events.

Across rural Taiwan, many migrant workers live hours away from Southeast Asian food, community spaces, and support networks. Long workdays, limited transportation, and distance from major population centers mean that something as simple as familiar food or basic support is often out of reach.​
It’s not just about limited access to Indonesian food—it’s about limited access to community.

Over the past year, we’ve seen migrant workers find genuine community and connection at Cafe Jiwa. What often begins as a cup of coffee or a fun event grows into friendships, shared meals, and a place where people feel known and valued far from home. But many migrant workers across central Taiwan live and work too far away to ever visit the café. Cafe Jiwa: To-Go! allows us to expand that same sense of belonging beyond our walls.

In 2025, we ran several test runs of Cafe Jiwa's Mobile Market out of the back of our personal vehicles, and we've seen the impact taking Cafe Jiwa to-go really can have! Having a vehicle specifically outfitted for Mobile Market will allow us support and impact even more migrant worker communities around central Taiwan.
